I gave birth to my beautiful baby boy on May 8, 2009 at 1:06 pm. I was induced at 9 am on May 7th. He weighed 7lbs 8oz and 20 1/2 inches long.We named him Deagon Andrew. I recieved the epidural but had 8 unsuccessful attempts at getting it in. I found out that I had a little bit of scoleosis in my back which I didn't know about. And the space where it the epidural goes was too small. I let one doctor try 5 times and I just couldn't go through it any more, so they gave me some Nubaine, well that made me sleepy, I would get to the point where I could fall asleep and then I would have a contraction. So I wasn't getting any rest. I finally said I want the epidural again, but I want a different dr. to put it in. I finally got it in an was able to rest comfortably till about an hour and a half before I could push when the epidural wore off. I was able to feel everything. It was a lot of work and pain but now that he is here it was all worth it. Its not something I am going to repeat anytime soon!
