Parents: I have a mom and a dad who are still happily married as well as a mother and Father-in-law, who are still married as well.
Siblings: I have one older sister as well as an older sister-in-law and and older brother-in-law... yep I'm still the baby...lol
Other children: I have one step-daughter who is 9 years old
What did children thing of pregnancy: She is very very excited to have a little brother on the way... I asked her what she wanted more and she said a little brother, which really surprised me

Have you picked out names?: yep... we knew a while ago... boy or girl... we are using my maiden name because I didn't want to give it up... so my husband said why don't we name our first born your maiden name... I thought that was a pretty good deal   
If so, what are they? The first name will be Hunter and then the middle name will be Jaymes which my husbands first name as well as a family name on my side after my father and my grandfather. We are using the spelling Jaymes because people often call my Husband Jay.
Do you have stretch marks?: not yet thank god... but kind of expecting them
Have you felt the baby move? Yes my baby boy is VERY active
Have you heard the heartbeat?: Heard the heart beat for the first time on December 10, 2008... We saw the heartbeat before that at the first u/s on November 26, 2008

Baby Updates:
October 17, 2008 - Positive Home Pregnancy Test
October 18, 2008 - Second Positive Home Pregnancy Test (just to make sure!)
October 26, 2008 - Told our parents and siblings. Everyone was very excited to hear that Hunter is on the way!
November 4, 2008 - First appointment with midwife
November 11, 2008 - Had to tell work because of the gossip queen in my office told me it was SO OBVIOUS I am pregnant cause I am showing and was telling everyone one else I was expecting... thought I better clear the air..Kinda pissed!
November 16, 2008 - We told remaining family members.... officially in the "everyone knows" category
November 26, 2008 - First ultrasound and blood work booked, Little Hunter was bouncing all over the place, we also saw the heartbeat
December 10, 2008 - Second appointment at the midwifes. U/s came back completely normal and we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time ;)
December 17, 2008 - Felt Hunter move for the first time with out a doubt... right on 14 weeks exactly!
January 7, 2009 - Go to hospital and get second trimester blood work done for integrated prenatal screen.
January 8, 2009 - Third appointment with the midwife (not my midwife, she was out all night at a birth) It took for ever to find Hunter's heartbeat cause each time she would get close to it the little bugger would swim away...lol... finally she found the heartbeat load, strong and healthy... Hunter was sitting really low in my uterus.
January 29/09 - 20 week u/s....horrible experience.... the ladies at the hospital were totally horrible with me and the hospital has a policy that they don't tell the patient the sex of the baby. I am now wait to see if they even got a picture and I won't know until I get a hold of my midwife. The heart rate at the u/s was 142. I did call the 3D u/s office in Rockwood and the lady there said she would go a gender scan for $75.00.
February 4/09 - Had an u/s @ hospital @ 2:00pm - 21 weeks - FOUND OUT HUNTER IS A BOY!!! .... also... Fourth appointment with midwife @ 3:30pm Everything is good and healthy with both Hunter and mommy.
March 3, 2009 - Fifth appointment with Midwife @ 4:00pm - both mommy and Hunter are healthy and active. My placenta is still lying low but has lifted off of my cervix. The measurement was 2.8 cm.
March 25, 2009 - I had my sixth appointment at the Midwifes. I met my back up Midwife Kathy.... who is just great and I am very comfortable with. We did my Glucose screening.. Kathy said she would call me before my next appointment if anything came back positive. I now have all of my appointments booked from now until after my due date. I am at the every other week point and at the end of May I will be weekly. Seems to be coming really quick!
April 7th, 2009 - First prenatal Class at the Listowel Hospital 6pm. There are 3 other couples in our class. For our first class we learned about the birth and labor.
April 8th, 2009 - Appointment with Kathy @ 3:30... got my results back from the glucose test PASSED with flying colours!
April 14, 2009 - u/s at the Kitchener hospital @ 3:00 with Tracy due to low placenta and confirmation of gender if possible! She told me that my placenta has moved up to a normal position so that is no longer a worry and that Hunter IS A BOY without a doubt! We also had our second prenatal class at the Listowel Hospital. We covered review from last weeks labor and delivery, breastfeeding in great detail and dad's role during labor and delivery.
April 21, 2009 - Had our last prenatal class at the Listowel Hospital
April 22, 2009 - I met with Linda Moore at 3:30pm instead of my midwife Kim because Kim was at a birth. Linda told me that in my 30 week u/s in Kitchener they had difficulties seeing the outflow track of Hunter's heart and they have mad a request that I have another u/s done with a specialist to assure that everything is okay with the little mans heart. She told me not to worry because out of the 4 u/s I have had the one at 21 weeks said that they say the heart fine but we are going to air on the side of caution. So now I am waiting to hear back about that appointment.
April 25, 2009 - HUNTER'S BABY SHOWER at my mom and dad's house. We had a great time and got lots of great things for Hunter. The weather looked like it was going to be nice and then turned really nasty, really fast. There was apparently a tornado that touch down in Fergus and one in Atwood, Listowel. Grandma and Grandpa are hoping that this isn't a sign of what Hunter is going to do when he is over visiting with them....LOL
May 4th to 8th - Was on vacation and got the nursery all set up and ready to go for Hunter's big day. We are now ready for him if he decides to come early... but Grandma has told him that he better not cause they leave on Friday for BC and are there for 10 days so Grandma has given Hunter strict rules to stay inside mommy until at least after dinner on the 25th of May!
May 5, 2009 - Had a regular appointment with Kim. They had not heard anything back from the specialist about my appointment yet so they re-faxed the information and we are still waiting.
May 12, 2009 - I had a Fetal Echo done in London at the Children Hospital. The specialist told us that there is nothing to worry about when it comes to Hunter's heart. He said that he is a big, healthy baby boy and that I am very healthy myself. He said he didn't see a reason for me to deliver in London. Yeeppiieee!

Hi, I'm also due June 17th. I find out in 3 weeks what I'm having hopefully. My last pregnancy they couldn't tell until i was almost due what the sex was cause she the baby kept putting its hands and legs infront of its sex parts. lol. Had a 9lbs 14oz baby girl. And now I'm hoping to have a boy this time. Well keep in touch if you want.
