I'm Jamie. 19 years old [18 when I gave birth]. I found out I was pregnant exactly 10 days after my 18th birthday [and the day my husband swore in for the United States Marine Corps]. My baby girl wasn't planned, but, obviously not prevented well enough.. [That doesn't mean I regret anything, nor does that mean that I support teenage pregnancy.] Finally, she was born 4 days after her due date on May 7th 2009. Since then, my life has changed drastically. Although I am missing out on a lot of things normal teens should be doing, I am gaining so much more, and I wouldn't change a thing.
A little backround information: I was born and raised in Las Vegas, It's all I know, and I love it here. I met my husband when I was 15 years old, we went to rival schools, and we've been crazy about eachother ever since. He's an asshole, and I'm a bitch, so we bump heads a lot, but that doesn't change the way we feel about eachother. My dream was always to marry a man in uniform, and I did! [too bad I didn't know the uniform came with all of the sacrafices.] My husband was not there for 95% of my pregnancy due to the marine corps, and he wasn't able to be there for the birth of his first born, so I can't say I'm completely happy with his choice in joining, but, it's what he chose to do and I will support him. As for me, I'm planning on going to school for medical administration. It's a quick process and something I can afford..
