My name is Erin and I am a wife and mother to 2 beautiful children!!
My first born is Madison Nicole and she was born 8 weeks premature on 6/5/2009 via emergency c-section weighing 2lbs 10oz. My pregnancy with her was spent in fear the whole time of loosing her and there were many many scares regarding her small size. She was measuring several weeks behind. She was born unexpectedly at 32 weeks because of a true knot in her umbilical cord. During her NICU stay, she battled a PDA in her heart, a grade I brain bleed, a damaged airway when her trachea was perforated during intubation from the ventilator, 2 different blood transfusions and many blood pressure scares. She has battled many health issues since her birth and has Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia from her airway injury and b/c of her small size she has a working diagnosis of Primordial Dwarfism. She is currently 2 and a half and 19lbs. She is in the 1% for weight and height, but she is a tough little kid!
My second was born 8/7/2011 via SUCCESSFUL VBAC!!!! His name is Grayson Stone and he was 8lbs 6oz! Total opposite from my daughter! His birth was the most amazing experience of my life! Bc of my daughters emergency c-section I always felt I had missed out on such an incredible experience. I so badly wanted to give birth! I woke up at 1am with my first real contraction and 4 and a half hours later, he was born!!!
My children are my life!! I always knew my purpose in life was to be a mother!
