Just figured I'd post my labor story!!!
It all started on Sunday, August 23rd, 2009! My induction was scheduled for Noon. Rob, My Mom, & My StepMamaw went with me to spend the night an be there for me during delivary! I went in got hooked up on my pitocin, still dialated a solid 3! By midnight I made it to a 4 at 70% effaced. The sweetest nurse, Kay came in an was fabulous the entire shift. She pulled down my cervix, it was very painful but it made everything go by very fast. By 6:30am I was dilated a 6 an 70% effaced. Things started goin by really fast. I was in nooooo pain at all!! Hadnt taken any Pain meds whatsoever. My contractions were very consistant, I rested really well through it all. By 9:00a.m I was dialted an 7 an 100% effaced. Still feeling nothing at all. By 10a.m an Dr Maggard came in an broke my water! Then, I was at an 8, an was beginning to have back labor pretty bad, nothing I couldnt stand but the nurse begged for me to go ahead an take my epidural but I refused. I took the smallest dose of morphine she'd give me an it did nothing but make my back pain sporadic instead of continuous. Then about 11a.m she came back in an advised me that if I didnt go ahead an take my Epidural, the ansthesiologist wouldnt be on the floor for another 4 or 5 hours due to so many scheduled c-sections. So I went ahead with it...... No big deal at all. I would rather have an epi over a regular IV anyday..lol They thought I was crazy! Anyways, by 1pm I started having major contractions an felt like I needed to push. I wasnt hurting it was just scaring me. I was afraid I would end up pushing an not meaning to. I finally laid there an went through several of those an then the nurse came in an told me I could start with a few pushes before the Dr came in. I pushed 4 times with the nurse while my stepmamaw held my left leg, Rob held the right leg, an my mom stood over my head with a damp rag crying her eyes out! Then, Dr. Maggard came through the door. Dr.Maggard estimated 8 actual hours of labor with only pushing for 23 minutes an out popped my little angel at 4:03pm...August 24,2009!!
Weighing 7lbs & 8oz...18.5in long...Head was 14in...Chest was 13.5in! She scored a 9.9 on her apgar test! My perfect little angel & I came home, August 26th, 2009 around 3pm! =)

Heartrate 150's!
Bloodwork & RhoGAM shot!

Heartrate 150's!

*July 9th-
Heartrate 130/140's!

(Last visit with Dr.Kinney. Decided to switch. Supposed to see him again July 23rd @ 1:30p.m! Called & got appointment at Dr.Maggards for July 21st @ 1:15p.m. Pick up Medical Records from Dr.Kinneys before visit!)

*July 21st-
Heartrate 150's!
Visit with Dr. Maggard & S went great! The entire staff was sooo nice.. Taegyn weighed 5lbs & 8oz.. We got a 4D u/s, an she looks sooo much like her daddy it isnt funny! haha All & All, Im very happy withmy decision to switch Drs.!

*July 29th @ 2:45pm-
Heartrate 150's!
Group B Strep Test
Cervix Check - Nothing Yet!

*August 5th-
Appointment went great! Cervix check- Outside was open but inside was closed. Said to work real hard at it an I could possibly go before 39 weeks!! Results from Group B was perfect!

*August 13th-
Heartrate 150's!
Cervix Check - Open on the outside, closed on the inside!
U/S - Taegyn's head is soooo low into the bone we couldnt get great pictures! & Couldn't even get an estimated weight she's so big!
Discussed induction.. Setting it up next appointment forWednesday, August 26th, 2009! For sure!!! If I don't go before then!
Was told everything was going great, it's just a waiting game at this point. Try doing natural things such as walking, etc.

Cervix Check - 3cm! =)
Induction set up for Sunday August 23rd, 2009! Instead of Wednesday August 26th, 2009!! I was not Arguing!! lol
I'll go in at Noon Sunday, start out slowly on pitocin, see how things go. If my water doesnt break on its own, she'll come in Monday morning & break it, an she estimates Taegyn to be born Monday evening!!!!!!!!! OMG!! lol
So, this will be my last appointment, things looked great, she estimated Taegyn to be around 7lbs & 6oz, so we'll see how close she really is!!

Before I was a mom, I never tripped over toys or needed to remember a daily feeding schedule. Before I was a mom, I had never been puked on, pooped on, peed on, or chewed on. Before I was a mom, I slept all night, and I never cried during doctor visits. Before I was a mom, I never got ridiculously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up all night watching a baby sleep. Before I was a mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't wanna put her down. I never knew how many kisses I could give in one day. Before I was a mom, I never knew someone so small could affect my life so much. Before I was a mom, I never got up every ten minutes at night to make sure everything was okay. I never knew the bond between mother and child. Before I was a mom, I never knew how much love I could have for someone. <3.

AWWW!! congrats on the baby! im still waiting on my little girl! lol
