I am happily married and a mother of two boys. My oldest turned 2 in November and my youngest was born 3 months early at the beginning of April.
I went from one extreme to the other with my pregnancies... my oldest, Eric, was 42 weeks and we induced and my youngest, Kendall, was 27 weeks... WOW!!! LOL!!!
I got put on bedrest on my birthday, September 26, with Eric and he was born November 20... I had a low lying placenta and was bleeding so I spent the last 2 months of my pregnancy in bed for the most part... It wasn't strict bedrest but it still wasn't fun... lol... I wouldn't let my doctor induce me until my mom got here so I held him an extra 2 weeks. My mom got here on a Sunday and I had him the following Monday. This was a vaginal birth I went into the hospital at 6am and they started my pitocin. They broke my water around 9am and I still wasn't feeling anything as far as contractions... I was just sittin ther in my hospital room playin on the computer... posting on myspace... lol... finally I was dialated to a 7 and they told me that if I wanted an epidural that I needed to say so now cuz other wise it would be too late.. so I said sure... I am glad I did cuz I pushed for over an hour straight... and they had to use the forcepts to get him out. My doctor said that I wouldn't be able to push out a baby bigger than this one. When he came out he didn't cry or anything... he was completely blue and not breathing. The cord was wrapped around his neck twice. But they were able to get him to breath and he has been fine ever since.

Kendall was born April 4th, and the funny thing about it was that when I found out I was having a boy I wanted to name him after my dad and I thought it would be cool if he was born on my dad's birthday which is May 1st, but when I was thinkin about it I was like oh wow that would be way too soon and he ended up coming a month before that... it would have been a blessing to have made it to my dad's birthday... lol..
I found out I was pregnant (3 weeks preggers) and not 3 days later I started bleeding really bad... I went to the ER and they called my OB... I went for an ultrasound, they said that I had 25% placental abruption (when 25% of the placenta detaches from the uteral wall). So they said that in 98% of cases women with this much detachment this early on will miscarry. Well, I have miscarried twice before and I refused to let this happen again... I spent many days and night praying... and I even got my grandma's church involved... they were all praying that he be ok. Before it was all said and done I ended up with more than 50% placental abbruption and full placenta previa (when the placenta is over the entire cervix). I was seeing my OB every week and gettin an ultasound about every other to every three weeks to make sure he was doing ok... then all of a sudden things stopped getting worse and we thought we would be good for awhile. But that wasn't the case. With no I went into labor and didn't know it. The next morning I felt like I was miscarrying so I called my step mom to take me to the hospital. From the point that I got to the hospital to the time my son was born was 27min. My husband almost didn't make it. He had to be transfered to a biger hospital over an hour away. I had to here but my husband and brother went with him. I was so scared I didn't even know what was going on.. when he was first born he cried but then he stopped and they had to vent him but they couldn't get it in the first two tries... I got to see him after I was done in recovery. I had an emergency C-Section.
