"He who fights against monsters should see to it that he does not become a monster in the process. And when you stare persistently into an abyss, the abyss also stares into you." -Friedrich Nietzsche
Olivia Eden Dunbar was born one week over due. We welcomed her on July 14th, 2009 at 5:13 am. She weighed 8 lbs. 1.1 oz. and was 20.25 inches long. Hooray!!!

My name is Ashley. I have a completely wonderful family now. I live with my fiance, Josh and my newborn daughter Olivia. Josh and I are not married, by choice so far. I've been putting it off. But we are informally engaged, and after we get our college out of the way we will probably tie the knot. I am an INFP just for anyone that wants to know. I come off as extroverted online because I have a computer or several thousand between you and me.
I am generally a kind person. I like to keep an open heart and an open mind even though I can be considered opinionated. I am trained in debate so I understand the value of expressing my opinions in a mature and respectful manner.
I love makeup, tattoos and piercings, but I also appreciate the natural beauty a blank canvas can hold. I am pro-choice. Not for killing babies, like so many young people seem to think. After all, I made a choice to keep, but it's still my CHOICE. I like the idea of a country with less federal involvement. People, when left to their own devices and not direction do tend to fail but we are actually
over-regulated. I'm also an atheist, but I would never EVER try to tell anyone of any faith that they are wrong. We are all entitled to a belief or lack thereof. Unlike a lot of militant atheists, if someone tells me something like "I'll pray for you," I button my trap and understand that to them it's like me saying "I'll keep you in my thoughts," Yeah, I can appreciate a kind gesture.
I plan to expose my daughter to the opportunity to choose her own religion or not and I will never think she is wrong or weak for wanting to believe something different than me.
I believe narrow-mindedness is born of insecurity. People tend to shun and fear qualities they do not wish to possess anyway, but to blatantly refuse to accept a possibility suggests to me they are more afraid of finding it in themselves than from the outside.
This is my town. I love life here. I have a beautiful apartment right in the thick of everything exciting.
My myspace is at
http://www.myspace.com/diexwithxme, and is publicly viewable. I only friend people I know in real life, and music I like. If you want to get to know me, I will be happy to through BG instead.

Olivia is completely 100% breastfed. It's the best thing for a baby, and it's great for mommies too! It can help prevent breast cancer, it can help us lose weight and burn calories, it's easy (really, whip out a boobie or measure formula, mix, pour and heat a bottle..?) and best of all, it's free. No buying formula here!
These two people are my world. My wonderfully sexy and caring fiance, Josh and my beautiful miracle Olivia.
