I'm 23 years old and live in Michigan. My hubby and I were NOT trying but...It happened   So we are very much excited. I am a teacher and he is a Doctor of Chiropractic and we LOVE life.

Date Concieved: December 31st/January 1st (New Years Eve)  

Day we found out: January 20th, 2009)

Howwe found out: I had a dream...that I was pregnant with a BIG baby boy...all kinds of bad things happened...My husband couldn't make it to the birth...I was early so nobody had a baby shower for me so I didn't have anything...So...I woke up at 4am and coudln't go back to sleep. I tried to wake my hubby up but I got the usual...It's ok hunny...SOOOO...I went to let the dogs out and knew I had an OLD test in our bathroom from months ago (2 day late freak out). I wanted to take the test just so I could go back to sleep. Just so I could relax and say...It was just a dream. The thought that I was actually pregnant NEVER crossed my mind. But...before my pants were up...2 pink lines. I ran upstairs...and started hitting my hubby with the pee stick yelling "I'm pregnant, I'm pregnant!" He looked at me...and started to gain conciousness as I continued to hit him with the stick...when he finially realized I wasn't kidding he looked at me and said.. "I have to poop." PRICELESS!!! A few minutes later we continued our conversation and decided that the test was old and before we got excited or told anyone we were going to take another test that night...soooo...I did...and they were both positive. OOPS!  

First Appointment: VERY DISSAPOINTING!!! My husband is a Doctor...we believe in natural childbirth...the first hospital we went to did not. They basically put us on a 24 hour time limit and after 24 hours a c-section was our only other choice. NO THANK YOU.We went to another hospital and met our WONDERFUL midwife. She is very supportive of our decisions and is very helpful and encouraging. Healthy mom, Healthy baby.

Boy or Girl: Don't know yet!   I'm thinking boy.

Natural or Medicated: NATURAL!!! I'm Brithing from within baby!!! wooo!!

Life is goooood.

WE decided against anything that could possibly harm him.. We choose not to circumsize him based on the fact that it's his body, and if he wants it done, when he's old enough to make the choice, he can.
