I am a mother of a spina bifida child. It isnt a tragedy. Its the most beautiful thing that has happend to me, because now i know what it is to truly love- its a sacrafice. It taught me compassion, understanding, and patience, because before i gave birth to my son, I was all about me. My life revolved around trying to be someone i wasnt and careing about no one but myself. Now i worry less about myself and more about others. It has made me a richer person; maybe not monetarily, but spiritually. So if i look flustered or tired, sad or stressed, know that my life WOULDN'T be better if my son were never born. He is true gift from God and i wouldnt change anything about him. He is mine and his daddys little miracal.
Im a sophmore at mountain heritage highschool.
I live in Burnsville NC.
Im 16 years old my birthday is march 9th 1993  
I have a baby boy, david jeremiah born on July 31 2009.
10:58 AM - 6 lb. -19 In.
He was born with spina bifida, and he also had to have a shunt to drain fluid out of his head.
My son is the best thing that has ever happen to me ,i know im young but i do everything and anything for my baby boy.  
I did quit school when i turned 16 but now im back in school and im doing my best to finish highschool.
Im still with his daddy and were still in love 
We plan to get married when im finished with school and he is out of basic for the army.
