I had a dog once. I loved him to pieces. He was my boy. Then I killed him the same way your mom did. I have yet to ever feel the same way about a dog as I did him. Now I can't even stand dogs and it's been like 5 years. So sad. I know how you feel Amanda! Hope you feel better soon. RIP litte doggy!
