My name is Amber and I am a 22 year old college student. I attend West GA Tech as a Fire Science Major, one day hoping to become a Fire Investigator. I currently work as a Staff Assistant at my local fire department 24 hours a week, and at a title loan office 20-22 hours a week. I stay busy.

I found out I was pregnant on April 1st, 2009. It has been a rollercoaster pregnancy with a non-stop sickness. I still rely on Zofran daily, even now during my 3rd trimester. I am expecting a girl who we are naming Brooklynn Marie. My husband and I have been married since April 2008 and together since June 2007. He is going to make an amazing father.

04/01/09 - Found out I was pregnant :] I am told I am 5 weeks along. Told due date is around 12/31/09.
04/09/09 - ER . 50/50 chance. Told I am either 4 week-ish pregnant and very early or miscarried. Going back Saturday to retest hormone count to find out!. Also RH- so have to have shots.
04/11/09 - HCQ Quantitative count more than doubled in 48 hours. STILL PREGO!!
04/12/09 - Morning Sickness Started  
04/16/09 - 1st Appt. changed from 05/04/09 to 04/22/09. yay.
04/22/09 - 1st Official Dr's Appt. - Went good! Saw baby and heartbeat on ultrasound! Baby is measuring 6 weeks 5 days...due date changed to 12/11/2009.
05/20/09 - 2nd Doctors Appointment [@10w4d] Abnormal Pap...HPV Positive :-(
05/29/09 - 1st Trimester Screening [@12w] ultrasound went great, baby is 6.11cm [2.4in], heartbeat was 165, and is measuring 12w4d. Tech is 90% sure it's a GIRL.
06/04/09 - Mommy's 22nd Birthday! :p
06/05/09 - Took Intelligender Test. Result: GIRL.
06/17/09 - 3rd Doctors Appointment [@14w5d] Heartbeat good. Closoposy [spel?] exam, pre-cancerous cells present on cervix   he wont do biopsy while I'm pregnant, waiting till 6 week post baby check up to talk about it.
06/19/09 - 8:19am - Was that a kick? Or a belly gurgling? 12:06pm - yep that was the baby!!
06/25/09 - 10:00am - kicks again )) well quickening. but i feel the baby!!! only 2 days till we find out if it's little Brooklyn or Brandon
06/27/09 - "Astorksview" Ultrasound to find out sex.- 90% BOY now...lol She is pretty sure she see's his penis, but doesn't want to say 100% until he spreads his legs.
07/03/09 - Ultrasound to confirm sex.! ******ITS A GIRL***** During the last ultrasound she wouldn't spread her legs, so the tech was 90% sure she was viewing the babies "penis" but that there was a chance it could be a girl and swollen. So yes...our little one was swollen down there but VERY healthy and spunky! She has fatty cheeks and a big ol' butt! haha
07/15/09 - 4th Doctors Appointment. Went good, painful shot :/, and heartbeat good   125.5lbs.
07/17/09 - SAW baby Brooklyn kicking my stomach for the first time.
07/20/09 -Anatomy Ultrasound [@19w3d] - went great. Brooklyn is measuring 19 w 5 days (2 days ahead) and is 11 ounces.
07/27/09 - Random home weigh-in: 128.5lbs
07/30/09 - Daddy saw you kick!!....he still can't feel you yet though.
08/02/09 - Hosted my sister's baby shower. Expecting a boy, Gavin, on 11/05/09.
08/12/09 - 5th Doctors Appointment [22w5d] - Went fine. Weigh: 131lbs (6+ increase from last appt. Given drink for glucose testing at next appt.
08/30/09 - Decided to name her Brooklynn, instead of Brooklyn (added an extra N)
09/09/09 - 6th Doctors Appointment [26w5d] Glucose Diabetes Testing
09/10/09 - Doc office called, I passed the Glucose Test! Was told I'm borderline anemic so I need to get better about taking my prenatal daily and to add another iron supplement daily until birth.
09/18/09 - Rhogan Shot @ Hospital [28w]
09/20/09 - 3D/4D Ultrasound @ "astorksview". Brooklynn is 2lb 12oz, 14.1 inches long, and her feet are 2 inches long. She has very long legs, and is in the head-down position. [28w2d]
10/02/09 - Daddy goes out to sea   [30w]
10/06/09 - 7th Doctors Appointment [30w4d] 131lbs. Brooklynn is now in a sideways position (was head-down when i had my 3d ultrasound 2 weeks ago). Was told not to worry, if she is still sideways at 34 weeks...then they will try to move her. Now I will be going to doctors every 2 weeks!!  
10/11/09 - My baby shower. 1-4pm :] [31w2d]
10/14/09 - [31w5d] Went to doctors, light pain in lower belly. TMI: Bacterial Infection (took bubble baths every single night for 2 weeks..it was inevitable). On medicine. Brooklynn is still sideways. 141lbs.
10/19/09 - Daddy home from sea   [32w3d]
10/21/09 - 8th Doctors Appointment [32w5d] Went well. Was told I am measuring perfect, even though to everyone else i look tiny. lol. Heartbeat strong. still 141lbs
11/01/09 - Labor/Delivery Visit. Contracting every 2 minutes, they think getting sick is what caused it (throwing up). Released after 2 shots of turbuline (sp?) once the contractions were down to every 10 minutes. Told to drink more water as well!
11/02/09 - My sister's induce date! Baby Gavin born at 1:07pm 7lbs 11ounces!  
11/03/09 - 9th Doctors Appointment [34w4d] Went well. 143lbs. h1n1 shot.
11/17/09 - 10th Doctors Appointment. [36w4d] 141.5lbs. Step-B Test.

Was it planned?: Yes/No. We sorta "tried" for like 3 weeks to get pregnant right when he came back from sea...but then decided the timing wasn't really the best and then stopped "trying" but didn't prevent. I conceived very quickly lol
What was your first reaction?: Shocked really. When I took the test I wasn't really that "late" and i thought I had taken it wrong somehow. I came out the bathroom like...brandon .. brandon...uhmmm it's positive. uhmmm there is no way. etc etc. I took another test at 10:30 at work and it was positive. I started getting excited but still disbelief. We went to the base clinic around 2 i think and took their test and they came out and said congrats! i was like...wow. wow. it was shock
Who was with you when you found out?: my husband
Who was the first person you told?: my husband was the first i showed test to. Then I called my sister.
How did your parents react?: My mom was in shock as well when I told her on the phone, and my dad wasn't too suprised. lol. Keep in mind my sister was pregnant at the same time, about 6 weeks ahead of me. LOL
How far along are you?: 36 weeks tomorrow.
What was your first symptom?: SICKNESS!! Never ending to this day, and tiredness.
Do you know the sex of the baby?: yes

How much weight have you gained?: I'm not sure how to answer that one. lol I was about 124 when I got pregnant due to binge-eating icecream while hubby was out to sea (LMAO), then I got sick at beginning of pregnancy and went to 110. At my last weigh-in I was 143. So btwn 19-33lbs.
Do you have stretch marks?: yes   on buttocks. lol
Have you felt the baby move?: every day  
Have you heard the heartbeat?: yes.

Natural or medicated birth?: EPI! Without a doubt.
Who will be in the delivery room with you?: My husband and mother. My father will visit after the actual birth
