My husband and I got married in August 2008. We started trying shortly after the wedding and we found out we are expecting the 4th of July weekend. We are expecting our first child on March 8, 2010.
My second appointment was August 21st and I got a picture of my baby!
The baby was moving around like crazy and I could see the flutter of the heartbeat. Such a change from my first appointment on July 24th where I could barely see the heart flutter.
I did find out that I would have to have a c-section due to a surgery I had a few years back to remove a fibroid. My doctor is not able to perform the c-section so she is transferring me to another doctor in the same building and practice. I really like the place I go so I am happy that I can still go there. They said it would be just like my surgery so I'm glad that I know what to expect for the most part. My fear was that I would have to go through hours of labor and pushing only for them to realize then that I needed a c-section so I'm glad they decided that now so I can get comfortable with my new doctor and I know what to expect.
September 18th was my third visit and we got to hear the heartbeat! 150 beats! They scheduled my ultrasound for October 23rd and we're hoping to find out if we're having a boy or girl (if baby cooperates!). I meet my new doctor on October 27.
20 Weeks: I think I finally felt the baby move! It feels like someone is flicking me from the inside. So cool! I'm also finally in maternity clothes and am actually beginning to show. It was not as dramatic as some people say where I all of a sudden popped but I did notice a big difference between one day and another.
October 23: My 20th week and my ultrasound...it's a BOY!!!!

It's hard to find much girl stuff that has giraffes... so we're basically sticking with pink and green any girly kind of stuff. It works I can't wait for a baby shower to happen! lol I know it's a while still, but it's like the next 'thing' to look forward to since I know the baby's sex now.
