My name is Diana. I am the mother to a beautiful little girl named Bella . She is my world but she would have never been possible if it wasn't for my fiance Luis. He is my better half and have been together for 5 years.
Labor story
I first started feeling contractions on March 11, 2010 at about 4am. It didn't really feel strong, but just strong enough to keep me awake. So at around 6am me and my fiancé decided to head to the hospital to see if its labor. When I was checked I was indeed in labor but just the early stages, with 1 cm and 80% effaced. So I was sent back home to walk around, and strengthen my contractions. My fiancé headed to work and I stood with my mother and began to walk the park, climb stairs, took a nice warm bath and got the bags ready. At around 3pm I couldn't take the pains any longer. We headed to the hospital where I was admitted this time cause I was 4 cm, so I called the fiancé who later on arrived. At about 5pm I received my epidural. Then they started giving me pitocin since I wouldn't dilate anymore. Then my baby's heart rate was to high so they tried taking the pitocin off which didn't work, and to make matters worst I began to develop a fever. Well many hours passed by and everything remained the same so they did an emergency c-section, and at 6:11am March 12, 2010 my world Bella ruby arrived after 26 hrs of labor. I stood in the hospital for 5 days on antibiotics because the fever I had during labor was due to pneumonia. Luckily the baby never contracted it.
