OUR BABY GIRL IS HERE!! 17 JULY 2010 10.07AM 7POUND 9OZ!!!
On 16 July 2010 my partner and i ventured to a town 3 hours away (the car packed with all babys necessary belongings just incase) for my grandfathers funeral the following day.
At 2am on 17 july i awoke with slight cramps, within an hour i was in hospital and at 10.07 am i gave birth to my precious little girl Alyssa.
We didnt quite make it to the funeral, but our baby girl had arrived.
The end of my pregnancy i developed high blood pressure so the last few weeks were a blur of blood tests, hospital visits and swollen hands and feet. The arrival of our baby girl was a beautiful day. She is now 5 weeks old and we are settling into everyday life. At the moment she seems to get quite bad wind a few times a day and it hasmade her quite unsettled. But other than that, she is a healthy happy and beautiful baby girl. love her soooo much! xox
Babys daddy is the most amazing dad i have ever met, he is so helpful and loving. He is in awe of his daughter and loves her to peices.

My Pregnancy Story (so far):
Well i found out i was pregnant really early - i was only about 1 month pregnant lol. I was waiting and waiting for my period to arrive - which it didn't - but felt like it was coming the whole week of my missed period. cramping so much like period cramping i was running to and from the toilet to check haha. so i took a pregnancy test on like the second or third day of my missed period - which came back negative. so i thought i was sweet - but still no period (i have always had clock work periods)! so i waited two more days and then one night while home alone i decided to do one (i had bought a three pack), i left it right till the final minute it says to (lucky i did) and a faint faint faintest ever line came up. i freaked out. held it up to the light and was like omg thats a line. so i did the second one just to be sure and then txtd my bestie who was about 7 months prego at the time. she rung me. after we finished i sat down on the couch and bawled my eyes out in shock. my partner finally came home at about 10ish that night and i was fast asleep - me being me just blurted it out - the poor guy! we went to bed and not alot was said, more tears shed on my behalf. anyway the next day at work was hell not having spoken to him properly the night before, i felt really alone. i went to the doctor and she did a prego test which also had a very faint line. so off i went for one of many many blood tests. and yep i was pregnant. over the weekened me and my partner discussed it and decided we would keep the baby. His mum was overseas and so was mine at the time so we had to keep it on the down low until they came back. i told some close friends and family (even tho i knew i shouldnt especially being so early - i couldnt help it). Maybe a week later i had some brown discharge and more cramping (same as earlier) and in a panic made an appt with my doctor. she performed a cervix check and told me it was just old bloody....phew (even at that stage i knew i did not want any thing to happen to my baby..even tho i was in shock and not sure what i wanted 100%). i went and had a scan a few days later and baby was only teeny - still at yolk sack stage haha!!! so it put me due date even further behind. i then had more blood tests to make sure the hcg levels were doubling which they were. then a few weeks later i had another scan and sore what looked like a cashew nut haha. my little bub. i think i was about 2 months pregnant at that stage, maybe even a bit earlier. even was progressing well. then at 12 w eeks i had another scan and saw a beautiful mini baby on the screen who loved kicking (it looked like he/she was riding an imaginary bike) he/she was beautiful!!! we finally passed the 13 week mark yay and we started seing our midwife and got to listen to babies heart beat each visit. Baby is very active and likes trying to kick the dopler device off mummys tummy. he/she also sometimes has to be held to keep still so they can get the heartbeat. hehe. so adorable. I have experienced no vomitting and next to no nausea. I have been very lucky so far. Now in the second trimester (20 weeks as i am writing this) i suffer occassionly at night leg cramps and now getting pains (ligament i guess) up my sides, constant weeing (haha) and discomfort haha. but its all worth it. in 5 days we get to find out the sex of our beautiful baby! i have a very distinct feeling it is a little boy!!!
Since the first trimester my mind/thoughts/feeling towards this pregnancy and baby has changed so much. i can't wait to meet my little darling.

Update (08 April 2010): well we found out our little baby is not a boy but a beautiful little healthygirl. she wriggles so much and we can't wait to meet her. i am 25 weeks 4 days as i write this and i am huge lol. i am getting tired alot easier now and often getting indigestion - it sucks lol. My favourite times are when im laying down in bed and feeling my baby girl kick and wriggle and move. She has her own little personality already, i can't wait to meet her. I have eight weeks left of work. Then its organising time. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks we will be movng intoa new house - so i will have all that to do - not to mention set up her room. No names have been decided on yet, but we both do like Alyssa...but we haven't decided yet.
