Hi! I live in Charleston, SC. I have a three-year-old named Leila and a newborn named Shree. He was born on Sept 10, 2010. I had been hoping for a VBAC, but ended up with a repeat c section.
link to my labor story, how and why I had been hoping for a VBAC. http://forum.baby-gaga.com/about1170135.html
But I have to say, repeat c section waaay easier than an emergency one after long hours of labor!
How I feel about being human:
"It is said that all people who are happy have God within them. And that happiness can be found in a grain of sand from the desert...because a grain of sand is a moment of creation, and the universe has taken millions of years to create it."
"I have inside me the winds, the deserts, the oceans, the stars, and everything created in the universe. We were all made by the same hand, and we have the same soul."
-both excerpts from The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho
How I often feel about being a mother:
"After the birth of her son, in his sudden perfect prescence, Ruma had felt awe for the first time in her life. He still had the power to stagger her at times---simply the fact that he was breathing, that all his organs were in their proper places, that blood flowed quietly and effectively through his sturdy limbs. He was her flesh and blood."
