Who was with you when you found out?: my Nanny, where I come from we call our godmothers "nanny"s, but she's also like my 3rd or 4th cousin. (My fiance'.)
Who was the first person you told?: Matthew, the father deserves to know it too! (My soon to be in-laws.)
How did your parents react?: They didn't believe me. No no no. My father... oh you're pregnant? Yes, see this ultrasound. That's my little boy. Ohh Congratulations. Then Bill (<that's my father's nick name) goes off in his room in his poorly ventilated trailer and smokes weed. I was living with him at the time. Time to move out? I do believe so. (Parents? I didn't tell my father, but my Mom was pretty excited for me.)
How far along are you?: 34 weeks. (I'm going to update this again in about a month and a half with more answers. I should know the gender of the baby by then. I knew for Jonathan at about 12 weeks that he was a boy.)

What's the first thing you might say to him/her?: I was high from the morphine drip they gave me after the c section cause the anesthesia started to wear off. I was hitting the button like ever minute, no joke. I held him and looked at him, "I wonder what you're going to be when you grow up,.... are you going to be a doctor or an engineer..... or a teacher............(insert more wonderings about his future)" (She is so cute.
Would you let someone videotape the birth?: No, no, no no. (Yes. My stomach is so disgusting.... I'll never be able to look at it the same way again...)

RUN DOWN OF MY PREGNANCY:
FIRST TRIMESTER ( August 25th ( ish? ) - November 12 ) was very uneventful. I had morning sickness for a week.
9/28/2010: Bought a over the counter pregnancy test. My period was being very late. I was very nervous. Positive result. I thought the test was a false positive so I went to the Health Unit to get another positive with my Nanny. (< I don't drive.)
9/30/2010: First OB visit. Positive Pregnancy test and first blood test. Heard the heart beat.
11/3/2010: First Ultrasound. I'm really, seriously pregnant. O__O
11/4/2010: Moved into my own apartment to get away from my abusive father. Both of my parents aren't the best. I moved out my Mom's house in 2009 and somehow ended up at my Dad's. My fiance' got in a car accident so we weren't able to move out as fast as we wanted to.
SECOND TRIMESTER ( November 13ish - Feburary 13 )
11/29/2010: Second Ultrasound,
IT'S A BOY even though they weren't 100% sure, I was.
Saw a specialist because of my "seizures" which are actually panic attacks for blood tests.
They didn't give me pictures there. Look at my album for all the pictures.
12/5/2010: Quad Screen blood test. I almost passed out.
1/4/2011: First visit for 2011, Ultrasound done. Couldn't see his face cause he was sleeping with his hands over his ears or get a positive that this baby is a boy. Also was told he was very small for his age.
2/1/2011: Everything is going well. Blood test in 3 weeks to test for diabetes.
2/19/2011: Breast feeding class
2/13/2011: Trip to the emergency room for a sharp pain in my chest to make sure baby is okay. He is okay. EKG to be done soon.
2/15/2011: EKG done.
2/22/2011: Glucose screening done. I passed out, but luckily they already had taken the blood. Then, that sugar drink came up.
THIRD TRIMESTER ( February 13 - May 18 )
3/1/2011: Baby's heartbeat is about 170. Both of us are healthy.
3/12/2011: Baby basics class, learned infant cpr and what to do about a choking infant.
3/15/2011: Ultrasound reveals Jonathan is 3 lbs 7 oz! He was awake for this ultrasound, but kept putting his hands in front of his face. I got a
positive that he is a
boy! I also got to see that he has hair on his head. He is face down and ready to come out! Ultrasound Tech told me to watch my weight gain, but the nurse told me that I was doing just fine. Got Nexium for some really bad heartburn/possibly acid reflux.
3/29/2011: found out Nexium may not be safe to take while I breast feed. Jonathan's heart beat was 140. Need to work on a birth plan soon.
4/2/2011: Child birth class
4/12/2011: (34 weeks & 6 days) Jonathan's HB: 140, my weight: 171. Asked a few questions, but not all that I wanted to ask. (I am sick with a cold that my grandmother gave me for the last week or so. Finally got SO sick... gir... one of us needs to be well and healthy.)
4/25/11: Finally got my car fixed and road-able. I hope I can achieve licensed status before having Jonathan. I'm just so nervous about doing things wrong.
4/26/11: (36 weeks & 6 days): Asked about a birthing ball and may get one. First cervix check: completely closed, Group B Strep test: Positive (I get an IV in the hospital so Jonathan doesn't catch it on his way out.)
4/30/2011: Baby shower. Gifts that I received: baby swing and rocker, changing pad, disposable changing pads, receiving blankets, pacifiers, crib mattress, crib blanket set with bumpers, stroller and car seat, changing table, lots of baby clothes, lots of bibs, a few teethers, diapers, a few things of diaper rash cream, some bath stuff for me, some baby bath stuff, and sleepy baby lotion.
5/3/11: Cervix open and 1 cm dilated.
5/7/11: My great grandmother, on my mom's dad's side,"Mom" passed away at 91 years old. It was an expected death because of her age and multiple cancers. She didn't know anyone the last two days of her life or where she was at. We weren't very close, but I'm happy she's no longer in pain. Hospital visit for sharp belly pain and was kept over night because Jonathan's heart beat dropped a little. The belly pain was ruled to be round ligament pain and his heart beat dropping to be nothing to worry about. I stayed 1 cm dilated. Ultrasound done the next morning to make sure Jonathan was okay. He got a perfect score for his health. I saw him swallowing amniotic fluid which was just the cutest thing ever. I couldn't get any pictures from the ultrasound because the machine had no printer.
5/10/11: a "tight 1 cm" dilated and everything is still good. I asked about my ultrasound and how I am measuring about two weeks behind. I thought my water had broke, but it was just mucus. I lost my entire mucus plug after I got home from doctor visit. I've been having BH contractions for most of the day.
5/17/11: My water broke and off to the hospital I went. No food? What kind of witchery is this? I was starving in a few hours. Then, I threw up my last meal. My fiance' called his place of employment and informed them he would not be in that day because I was in labor. (They wrote him up for not giving a long enough notice. He gave 12 hours notice.) My friend came by to visit me. Then, she left for work. Contractions really hit around 9am, I got the epidural because I couldn't take the pain. Around 7pm, I was fully dilated. I started pushing. Then, the doctor tells me to push. His heart beat kept dropping. Through out the day, I was turning on my side and what-not to help him. Well, I glanced over at his monitor and it read "20". Needless to say, I freaked out and demanded a cesarean. Jonathan was born at 8:25pm fully healthy.... with his cord around his neck and in his hand...... SCREAMING. Born 6 pounds, 7 ounces. Released from hospital at 6 pounds, 2 ounces. 19" long.

9/4/2011: My birthday that I got to celebrate with Jonathan! Whoot, whoot! Big 23 years old now.
9/29/2011: 12 pounds, 9 ounces. 22.4" long

12/15/2011: 14 pounds even. 20.08" long
(6 months old!) found the length hard to believe so I measured him at home and got a little over 23" long. I didn't go with Matt and Jonathan to this appointment.
2/23/2012: 16 pounds, 8 ounces. 26.7" long
. (9 months old!) I got told his spitting up a lot was due to his moving around a lot. I should try strapping him somewhere to not move so much after a meal. He's very attentive and curious for his age. Crawling now, but not exploring all the time.
Two teeth out, bottom center. (other news: I lost all baby weight this month and was back at 135 lbs.)
2/26/2012: FIRST VISIT TO THE ZOO! He loved it, but did not care for the Koi fish. I didn't take pictures. Second Trip to the zoo:
5/17/2012: (1 year old!) THE ONE YEAR MARK!!!!!!!!!!!
5/22/2012: 16 pounds 12 ounces and 27" long.
(1 year!) Everything is good. :] Got the okay to put him a toddler car seat as long as its rear facing. I can put him forward facing after he's 20 pounds. I probably won't put him forward facing until he's 2 years old even after he does weigh 20 pounds.
6/3/2012: 1st Birthday Party! Invited 25 people and only 10 showed up. Jonathan flirted with a friend's daughter by trying to grab her hand and pushed away her brother away. Then, he wanted to play with the boy. (She was maybe 3 and the boy is 2.)
8/17/2012: 15 moth check up: 19 lbs, 4 ounces and 28" long.
2/21/2013: 18 month check up: 21 lbs, 12 ounces and 30" long. He's petite like Mommy with a size 3 shoe. Doctor gave him Pediasure to help gain weight faster.
24 month check up:
I am extremely determined, but some people would call it stubborn.
About My Parenting Ways:
I
do not support circumcision. If you're for it then go get yourself circ'd. Oh, you're a woman and they don't do that? Yes they do. Go get it done yourself then tell me what I should do with my son. Thank you.
I
use to not support baby/toddler wearing. I didn't see the point in it. Trying to handle a newborn and a 2 year old changed my mind...
I
do not use baby talk. I completely hate the idea of baby talk.
I
do not believe in day cares or babysitters. I will take care of my child full time.
I support breast feeding. I didn't get to bf my son, but I
am bfing my daughter.

First Trimester: Completed (I couldn't find a doctor to take my insurance so my first prenatal appointment was at 18 weeks.)
Second Trimester:
11/8/2012: My weight: 138. Blood test done. Did not get a good heart beat reading because baby kept moving.
11/15/2012: (20 weeks) First ultrasound. It's a
GIRL.
Late December/ Early January: Glucose Test
Third Trimester:
3/18/2013: (37 weeks 4 days) scheduled c section loosely for March 29. Baby is in breech so ultrasound scheduled tomorrow morning.
3/19/2013: (37 weeks 5 days) Ultrasound. Baby is not in breech. She was 6 lbs 3 ounces.
3/25/2013: (38 weeks 4 days) scheduled secondary c section
3/29/2013: (39 weeks 1 day) KAYLEE ARRIVED @ 12:49 pm She weighed 5 lbs 12 ounces and was 18" long. She had mild Jaundice. I am breast feeding her. Her released weight was 5 lbs 6 ounces.
4/5/2013:(1 week checkup) builrubin level: 11, still slight jaundice. Started supplementing with formula. Weight: 6 lbs 1 ounce
