Zane Landyn:

I found out at 20 weeks that Zane had a 2 vessel umbilical cord and then at 28 weeks he started to measure small. I was sent to a high risk doctor and had additional ultrasounds done. By 35 weeks Zane was only measuring the size of 32 weeks (putting him in the 5-6 percentile). The doctor decided that the best thing to do was induce me early at 37 weeks because he was worried about still birth due to the fact that Zane was not growing steadily. I went into the hospital at 37 weeks 1 day. I was 1 cm dilated so they put in the balloon and cervidel. 4 hours later they started the pitocin. The pitocin ended up making me contract to frequently causing Zane's heartbeat to go up. I was given oxygen and after 16 hours of a horrible labor Zane was finally born. He was healthy and did not need to go to the nicu. I ended up hemorrhaging for 40 minutes after he was born because my uterus was not contracting back to normal as it should have been and part of the placenta did not come out. After all of this was over I finally got to hold my baby boy and see him for the first time. He was worth all of this ♥

I hope that you heal from you choice. I agree that it was not the right one if you are feeling this way about it. It was wrong of your parents to critisize you and tell you that you would have been bad off. They had no right. Hopefuly if there is a next time, you decide to keep your baby. I have 1 boy and have had 4 misscarriages. No abortions, and I never will because I am the type of person that will let the guilt eat at me for the rest of my life.
