Hi there! My name is Wendy, I am 24 years old. I'm the mommy of a little boy named James. He is 3 a very active, very adorable, artistic little boy whom mommy and daddy love with all their hearts.
I am married to the most wonderful man, Brian. We have been married since August '07 and our love for each other continues to grow day after day. We started TTC in November of '09 for our second child. At 11 weeks of pregnancy, I learnt we were going to lose the baby. At 12 weeks, we did lose our little one. It was the most heartbreaking moment of either one of our lives. We started TTC only two months after the miscarriage, and after 9 months of TTC (which seemed like forever), we finally succeeded. And now my baby girl, Lylah is here
I am so happy and excited to finally be the mommy of two little ones. I think hubby and I both just want two babies, but "baby fever" may change that a couple years down the road lol.
James Joseph entered this World on Wednesday, January 9th, 2008 at 3:15 am. He weighed 7 lbs and 15 oz and measured in length at 21 inches long. He was a perfect little new born, and is an adorable, live wire today at the age of three years old.
Lylah Victoria entered this World on Friday, August 12th, 2011 (my anniversary with hubby) at 8:50 am. She weighed 8 lbs and 6 oz and measured 20.5 inches long. She is absolutely adorable!
First Trimester*
One 1-4 Weeks - Done!
Two 5-8 Weeks - Done! Saw baby on ultrasound at 8 weeks and 4 days =) Fetal heartbeat of 154 bpm, everything looks well.
Three 9-13 Weeks - Done! Heard baby's heartbeat at 12 weeks 2 days<3 Love that sound.
Second Trimester*
Four 14-17 Weeks- Done! , Dr. appointment on February 17th. Heard the baby's heartbeat for the second time at 16 weeks gestation <3 My favourite song. Had an ultrasound on February 24th (17 weeks 4 days). Baby was sleeping most of the time, woke up about half way through and starting moving around
The tech said everything measures and looks exactly how it shoult at this stage. I didn't want to find out the gender, and I still don't know!
Heartbeat is at 140 bpm.
Five 18-21 Weeks - DOOOOOONE! <3 Heard baby's heartbeat on March 22nd
Six 22-26 Weeks - Done!!
Had a Dr. appointment on April 15th. All is well, tummy is measuring appropriately, baby's heart rate is healthy.
Went to the hospital on April 19th...got scared because I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid. Turns out it was just an increase in the normal pregnancy discharge lol...I felt like a dummy, but better to be safe than sorry. She also checked my cervix, it's closed so all is well...baby's heart rate sounds good.
Third Trimester *
Seven 27-30 Weeks DONE! - Seven months already! Holy crap! <3 Monday May 9th, had my first OB/GYN appointment. It was pretty boring lol...just paper work and we talked about how I was feeling etc. Weigh in, heard the baby's heartbeat, of course that's never boring
Everything was perfect
Eight 31-35 Weeks DONE!!!! - Second OB/GYN appointment on June 6th. Heard baby's heartbeat. It sounds SUPER fast! I don't know what the rate was though. Talked about labouring in water and my fear of epidurals.
Nine 36-40 Weeks. DONE! Had my 36 week appoitnment. The baby turned from head down, to feet down...little bum! I hope he or she turns back around before due date.
38 week appoitnment, baby turned back to head down position Thank God.
I'm still pregnant...July 31st has come and gone! I have a scheduled induction date of August 12th. I hope I don't have to be induced. I was really wanting to go into labour on my own this time.
My baby girl was born on August 12th 2011. At 8:50 am weiighing 8 lbs, 6 oz and 20.5 inches long.
She's beautiful! OH and I didn't need an induction after all...things started happening all on their own at 2:00 am on August the 12th! It was a fast just under 7 hours of labour!
