I'm Megan. 20 years old. I have one amazing little boy, born August 29th, 2011. He looks just like his wonderful daddy, who I am absolutely in love with. Our puppy, Apollo, is also a little boy. My boys are my life and I wouldn't trade this life for anything. My family and friends are an extreme part in my life. I work as a Restoration Aide, taking care of the elderly. Eventually I would like to go back to school, either LNP or RN. There are more children in the furture, but right now I am TNTC.
I never felt a feeling as strong as when I heard my little man cry and when I saw his face for the first time. I'll never forget that feeling. 8.29.11 Truly the best day of my life. If it was even remotely possible, I would never go back to work and I would be a stay at home momma in an instant!
My Labor Story:
I woke up around 1:40 am to a big gush of water and cramping. I honestly thought I peed myself because I had to pee really bad and I had been cramping the day before. So, I went downstairs to pee and had more gushing and I finally started timing the cramping. They were 5 minutes apart. I thought false labor, I don't know why. Around 2:10, I went back upstairs and told my boyfriend that I thought I was in labor. I called my mom and he called my grandmother. I started getting everything together and we left for the hospital. So, we got there and they checked and made sure it actually was my water, it was. I got back to my room and I started having very intense contractions, so they brought me my epidural. From then on I was kind of sleeping and not sleeping, on and off. After a while, during every contraction little man's heart rate would drop drastically. I wasn't dialating. My nurse knew something wasn't right, but my "midwife" was concerned. The doc could only rely on what they told him until he got there. So, I layed there not knowing if anything was wrong until doc came. He checked me once and said that I would have my baby within half an hour. Sadly, that meant C-section. So, I got my C-section and found out that his imbilical cord had been wrapped around his neck twice! Very scary to hear, but luckily everything went well. So, at 2:50 pm my completely amazing, handsome little man came into this world. 6 pounds, 1.7 ounces. 19 1/2 inches long.
