My name is Nyxie. I am married to my best friend, and a stay at home mom and I love it.

FINDING OUT
1. What day did you find out you were pregnant?: I had a pretty strong feeling in the beginning of January, when I noticed things were different with my body that hadn't happened before, such as heart burn and extremely sore boobs. I actually found out on January 14th, when my sister Kaylin was staying the night with me. Confirmed it with a doctor's test on the 21st of January.
2. How did you feel when you found out?: Scared, very upset, nervous, and a little disappointed with myself.
3. Who was with you? My sister Kaylin.
4. How did the daddy react?: He ignored it until we got the doctor's test, then got upset, and then begged me to keep it when I decided I wanted adoption, only to turn his back on me later and not do anything to help me at all or even be in the picture.
TELLING THE PARENTS
1. How did your parents react?: My mother was upset, worried, and disappointed. For a while we weren't getting along because of her reaction towards me and some of the things she would say, but now she is excited and almost as happy as I am and we are getting along so much better. <3
2. How did his parents react?: His mom is happy for me, and told him he is an idiot.
3. How often do they call to check on you?: I talk to my mom on a daily basis. I have talked to his mom once within the past four months.

ABOUT THE PREGNANCY
1. When is your due date?: September 19th, 2011
2. How far along are you right now?: 16 weeks.
3. Have you had an ultra sound?: Yes, I have also had a 3D/4D ultrasound.
4. Have you heard the heartbeat?: Yes <3 I have it recorded into a stuffed parrot. [:

SEX OF THE BABY
1. What do you want. Boy or Girl?: I'm really crossing my fingers for a little girl, which is what I was told I am having, but if my baby's healthy I'm happy.
2. Do you know what you are having now?: I have been told it is a girl but I have another 8 days before I can confirm it.
3. Are you happy with what you are having?: Very. <3

ABOUT THE BIRTH
1. Who is going to be with you?: I am not sure yet.
2. Are you going to video tape it?: Maybe.
3. Natural or medicated? Natural, or attempt at it anyway.
4. Do you think you will have a c-section?: Hopefully not, but if I need to then I will.
5. Do you think you will cry when you first hold your baby?: Of course. <3 I cried when I saw her moving around for the first time, and where I could hear her heart beat.
6. Do you know what you will say to the baby when you first hold it?: I honestly have no idea.
7. Are you scared about the labor? It is a frightening idea, but I know it will be worth it when I get to hold my little one and watch her grow and learn. Pain is only temporary to the joys I'll have for the rest of my life.

NAMES
1. Do you have a name picked out?: I do. Her name will be Scarlette Adara. If she for some reason happens to actually be a boy, then I will have to re-think haha.
2. Is your baby going to be named after anyone?: Yes. It isn't obvious, but I am naming her after my mother with "Adara", which is Greek for beauty, because my mother is the most beautiful person I know, inside and out.
3. Did the daddy help pick the name?: No.

2. Have you felt the baby move?: Not yet, but I can not wait to!
3. What was your first symptom?: Heart burn and sore boobs.

6. What is the babys room theme?: When I get my own place, I want to do it in a mystical type theme. Fairies and such.
7. Are you ready to be a mommy?: I don't think anybody is ever really "ready" even if it is not their first child. You just have to do the best you can to prepare and learn as you go along, which is what I am doing.
